During the 80s and 90s, its popularity soared, even reaching countries like Venezuela, especially in Maracaibo, and Mexico, particularly in Monterrey. Their music has managed to connect with new generations, turning vallenato into a culturally relevant communication channel. Rafael and Israel have been key in this success, consolidating their place in the music scene.
