Hailing from the Eastside of Houston, Texas, Kirko Bangz always sensed that his life would take a significant turn. Initially aspiring for a career in the NBA due to his passion for basketball, he eventually realized that music was his true calling, guided by a higher power. Kirko's journey began with storytelling, reflecting on the trials and tribulations of his upbringing, but he soon found his niche in crafting charismatic melodies. While attending Prairie View A&M University, he gained recognition through his consistent release of Facebook freestyle videos, capturing the hearts of students across Texas. His breakthrough came with the release of "What Ya Name Iz," a remarkable 9-minute freestyle, followed by the hit single "Drank In My Cup." Kirko's unique blend of Houston influences and melodic rap has solidified his place in the music industry, carving out a distinctive sound and lane for himself.
