Zacarías Ferreira, born in Canca Arriba, in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic, comes from a family of musicians and singers, which explains his early interest in music. His first recording, "Me Liberé", released in 1998, was a major hit. In addition, he has been awarded the prestigious Casandra Award.
