Formed in 2005, Sobredosis de Soda was born in Buenos Aires as a tribute and celebration of the music of Soda Stereo. The band over the years has developed a visual and sound reproduction identical to the image that Soda Stereo has marked throughout its trajectory.
A commemorative show with a modern staging: a journey in time that recreates the songs that marked several generations. An invitation to get excited and sing together remembering the most important group in the history of Latin American rock.
“Our proposition is that the show is a celebration and a nostalgic memory, creating an intimate atmosphere: we are three musicians fans of Soda paying tribute to our idols. We do not seek to replace anyone, nor to take their place.”
Mariano Albergoli, (Sobredosis de Soda)
Recognized rock figures have accompanied Sobredosis over the years as guests: Marcelo Moura and Daniel Sbarra (Virus), Leo Garcia (Soda Stereo, Avant Press), Fabián Von Quintiero (Soda Stereo, Charly Garcia, Ratones Paranoicos), Javier Herrlein (Catupecu Machu), Gonzalo Aloras (Fito Paez), Fernando Scarcella (Rata Blanca).
“They are perfect. Musically, what they do added to the costumes, the look and Mariano's voice and his execution of the guitar… the great role that Sobredosis does, with incredible respect, is to allow a lot of generations that could not see soda… see soda”
Marcelo Moura (Virus)
The band has toured Latin America and Europe, taking their shows to different cities in Argentina, Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Spain; where they were received with excellent response and approval from the public.
“What I see from people is a reaction first of extreme joy, of a smile, of much nostalgia, much joy, much sadness, much anguish for Gustavo ... there is like a festival of sensations.”
Javier Herrlein (Ex Catupecu Machu).
