Formed in 2005, Sobredosis de Soda was born in Buenos Aires as a tribute and celebration to the music of Soda Stereo. Over the years, the band has developed a visual and sound reproduction that faithfully represents the image that Soda Stereo has set throughout their career.
A commemorative show with a modern staging: a journey through time that recreates the songs that marked several generations. An invitation to get emotional and sing together remembering the most important group in the history of Latin American rock.
“The group's proposal is that the show is a celebration and a memory (nostalgic), create an intimate atmosphere: we are three musicians fans of Soda paying tribute to their idols. We do not seek to replace anyone, nor to occupy their place.” Mariano Albergoli, (Sobredosis de Soda)
Recognized figures in rock accompanied Sobredosis over the years as guests: Marcelo Moura and Daniel Sbarra (Virus), Leo Garcia (Soda Stereo, Avant Press), Fabián Von Quintiero (Soda Stereo, Charly Garcia, Ratones Paranoicos), Javier Herrlein (Catupecu Machu), Gonzalo Aloras (Fito Paez), Fernando Scarcella (Rata Blanca).
“They are perfect. Musically, what they do added to the costumes, look and Mariano's guitar execution voice… the great role that Sobredosis plays, with incredible respect, is to allow a lot of generations that could not see soda… see soda” Marcelo Moura (Virus)
The band has toured Latin America and Europe, bringing their shows to different cities in Argentina, Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Spain; where they were received with excellent response and approval from the public.
“What I see from the people, is a reaction of extreme happiness first, of smile, of lot of nostalgia, much joy, much sadness, a lot of anguish for Gustavo… there is like a festival of sensations.” Javier Herrlein (Ex Catupecu Machu).
