Ramon Ayala

Also known as “El Rey del Acordeón”, Ramón Ayala is a pioneer of norteña music who has sustained an active recording and performing career for nearly half a century. As part of the pioneering duo Los Relámpagos del Norte, alongside Cornelio Reyna, Ayala has defined the modern genre with his distinctive songs and a characteristic instrumental style that have transformed him into a superstar of the genre on both sides of the Rio Grande. Ramón Ayala has produced 98 records since the beginning of his career and has maintained an annual average sales of 750 thousand copies in Spanish-speaking countries.
