AK7, also known as El Fenómeno Musical, is a Mexican duranguense music band that has gained popularity with songs like "La llamada" and "Dígale". The group took its name as a play on words based on the number of members, which currently stand at eight. On the other hand, La Autoridad de la Sierra emerged from a breakaway group from K-Paz de la Sierra led by Arturo Palomar, former composer and arranger for K-Paz, who decided to start anew in 2004. Based in Chicago, the new band released its debut album in February 2005.
