Lorenzo Méndez is recognized for his musical versatility in genres such as regional, norteño, and band. He began his career as part of La Original Banda Limón, standing out for his bilingual ability to interpret boleros in English. In 2013, his album "La Original y sus Boleros de amor" won the Latin GRAMMY for Best Banda Music Album. After eight years with La Original Banda Limón, Lorenzo Méndez decided to embark on a solo career, releasing in November 2018 his first single and video titled "Imperfectly Perfect", followed by "Sincerely, Your Husband".
