With over 65 years of career, he has released 70 albums and performed countless concerts, being recognized with the Texas Governor's Award from NARAS and as Artist of the Year of the State of Texas. His music, which reflects the struggle of the less fortunate, supports organizations such as the United Farm Workers and the Diabetes Educational Campaign Project.
