The Tejano singer Graciela Beltrán is widely known as one of the most influential female voices in regional Mexican music. Along with artists like Rocío and Selena, Beltrán is attributed to having helped shape the genre, as well as solidify the place of women in it. As the popularity of regional Mexican music grew in the U.S., so did Beltrán's popularity. After reaching first place on the regional Mexican album charts with 2006's Rancherisimas con Banda, she racked up five movie appearances and a discography featuring 20 original titles. After more tours and another extended break, she returned in 2017 with “Evítame la Pena” for the Sony Music label and to date has not stopped.
