En este momento Daniel Calderón y Los Gigantes del Vallenato son considerados como la agrupación más versátil y completa del Vallenato. Daniel Alexander Calderón Pulgarín nace en la ciudad de Medellín, hijo del mejor productor de la música vallenata, compositor, arreglista, bajista y guitarrista Iván Calderón y de Diana Pulgarín. Por ver a su papá y sus tíos en esta carrera desde que tenía uso de razón, se fue interesando en la música vallenata hasta formar parte de esta agrupación. Actualmente se encuentran de gira por Estados Unidos interpretando sus mayores éxitos.
