Los Shapis is a Peruvian group of tropical Andean music, especially chicha, also known as Peruvian Andean cumbia. Formed in 1981 by the Chapilliquén brothers (Jaime Moreyra and Julio Simeón), they became a musical reference in Peru in the 80s. Their lyrics represent the voice of the migrant population in Peru, addressing topics such as love, nostalgia, social problems, among others.
