Los Razos, formerly known as Los Halcones de Michuacán, is a band formed by five Mexican musicians based in the United States and led by Sacramento Ramírez, from La Piedad, Michuacán. Widely known for their controversial narcocorridos style, the band began their journey in the music scene in 1980 when Ramírez arrived in North America. Later, in 1990, accordionist Reynaldo Sanabria joined, followed by drummer Salvador Guillén, singer Marcos González, and bassist Baltazar Pineda. The band gained popularity and recognition thanks to their authentic music and lyrics, despite the controversy and ban they faced in Mexico. They were renamed Los Razos de Sacramento in honor of a woman who helped them position themselves in the regional Mexican scene in the United States, Sara Razo. With over 20 recordings to their credit, they have achieved multiple gold and platinum awards, reflected in their wide catalog of tracks and videos that have reached the top of the Mexican music charts.
