Fabio Zambrana Marchetty is a recognized figure in Latin music, born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on November 6, 1963. He is married to Fatima Fabiola Bruno Arteaga, with whom he has a son, Fabio André Zambrana Bruno. Currently, he is a prominent singer, composer, writer and speaker.
Zambrana was the creator and leader of the group Azul Azul, for 21 years he wrote all the group's hits, including their most successful work 'La bomba', a song that has crossed borders, selling over 16 million copies and being the number 1 Latin song in the world for 4 weeks in 2001.
'La bomba' led Azul Azul to be the only Bolivian group to reach number one on the Billboard chart, won a Lo Nuestro Award and was nominated for the Billboard Awards in 2001. Fabio was also recognized as 'Composer of the Year' in the USA on two occasions. In addition, he represented Bolivia in the OTI Festival in 1998, which demonstrated his relevance in Bolivian musical culture.
He was chosen by the United Nations to write a song promoting unity among Bolivians, resulting in 'Bolivia a todo pulmón'. Zambrana even sang for the former president of the USA, George W. Bush, during the inaugural possession party 'Unity of the New Millennium', in 2001.
